Nottinghamshire Care Group are seeking caring and compassionate individuals to provide domiciliary care to our service users. Experience in care work is not necessary, as we will provide you with all the required training and support.
As a Care Worker, you will enjoy interacting with elderly and vulnerable seniors and assisting them with their daily living activities.

Your role as a Care Worker
You will encourage and support service users in their day-to-day lives, enabling them to live more fulfilling lives, whilst helping them remain in their own home by providing high-quality person-centred care. You will be responsible for a wide range of care needs or supporting the service user, taking into account their individual personality and lifestyle choices.
You will be passionate about making a difference to the quality of life for our service users.
The role of a Care Worker is varied and largely depends on the service users you are working with.
Main duties
Provide high quality person-centred care to service users in their own homes, in accordance with their support plan.
Treat service users with dignity and respect, communicating effectively to meet their diverse needs.
Help with personal care, like washing, bathing, and getting dressed.
Prepare meals, drinks and snacks.
Support clients with everyday tasks like cleaning, shopping, laundry and paying bills.
Offer companionship and emotional support.
Help clients move safely and comfortably within their home.
Help service users to access the community, socialise and undertake leisure activities.
Maintaining appropriate records to meet the needs of the service, observing and promptly reporting changes or concerns in the service user's circumstances or condition.

Willingness to participate in training relevant for this post, including the Care Certificate
Fitness to carry out the function of this post which may include; moving and handling, use of a hoist or wheelchair, personal care, cooking, cleaning, shopping and leisure activities

Essential skills:
At least 2 years experience as a Care Worker.
Trained in Medication management.

Good written and verbal English.
Good time management skills and ability to prioritise.
Good IT skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

DBS certificate (or willingness to undergo a DBS check).
Desirable skills:
Experience of working in a Senior Care Worker role.
Experience of line managing staff.
Knowledge of the local area and relevant support organisations.

Main duties will include:
You will carry out a range of domestic cleaning tasks, ensuring that clients’ homes are clean, safe, and comfortable. Your work will help maintain our service users' dignity, well-being, and quality of life.
Other duties will include:
Performing general domestic cleaning duties, including:
Vacuuming, dusting and mopping floors.
Cleaning kitchens, bathrooms and toilets.
Emptying bins and managing basic waste disposal.
Changing bed linens and light laundry tasks.
Following individual cleaning plans as agreed with each service user.
Maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness at all times.
Using cleaning products safely and in accordance with COSHH regulations.
Respecting client privacy, dignity and personal preferences.
Reporting any concerns or hazards to the Line Manager.
Working in line with Nottinghamshire Care Group’s policies on infection control, safeguarding, and health and safety.
Essential skills:
Experience in cleaning or domestic work (paid or unpaid).
